Dr. Avi Aulakh, MD, FRCPC, DABAM, DRCPSC, is a Psychiatrist and Addiction Medicine Specialist based in Edmonton, Alberta, known for his compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centred approach to care. He is the Founder and Medical Director of Savera Medical Centre and the Co-Founder of Brickhouse Recovery Centre, where he provides comprehensive treatment for individuals struggling with mental health conditions and substance use disorders.
With extensive clinical experience across hospital, outpatient, and residential treatment settings, Dr. Aulakh specializes in the assessment and treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, ADHD, psychotic disorders, and complex addiction presentations including opioid, alcohol, stimulant, cannabis, and behavioral addictions. His clinical approach integrates psychiatry, addiction medicine, psychotherapy principles, and recovery-oriented care to promote long-term stability and meaningful recovery.

Dr. Aulakh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta, where he is actively engaged in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in psychiatry and addiction medicine.
